David Diaz
David DiazKitchen Designer
David earned his Interior Design Degree from the Art Institute of Philadelphia. He has always been passionate about residential design. After design school, he had the privilege of working as a Market Representative for Cambria in New York City. He gained extensive knowledge about countertop materials and had the opportunity to work with architects, builders and interior designers. He also had the chance to work with HGTV’s Vern Yip on his Manhattan apartment for the HGTV Magazine. David loves to incorporate creative solutions to minimize wasted space while creating an environment that fits the needs of the homeowner. He believes that the perfect kitchen is one that is functional and emulates the characteristics and culture of the family in it. This is why the kitchen is often referred to the heart of the home. When he isn’t designing kitchens, David enjoys eating out and taking day trips to explore new places with friends and family.
Eric Schnell

Because the kitchen is the heart of most homes, Eric particularly enjoys helping customers create a beautiful and highly efficient space that will enrich the owner’s everyday life. In his free time, Eric enjoys playing with his dog and spending time with family and friends.

Melissa Herren
Melissa HerrenKitchen Designer
Melissa has years of experience in the construction/remodeling industry. Most of which has been spent in kitchen design. She started her career in general construction building schools and post offices for the government. From there, she expanded into learning and executing blueprints and surveying. Melissa went to Home Depot for a part time job and was recruited due to her background to be a kitchen designer. They sent her to Home Depot University for 6 months to learn kitchen and interior design, from there she became an independent contractor focusing on designing for high-end homes in Reno, NV, Austin, TX and Phoenix, AZ. Melissa traveled and enjoyed building her business. She worked closely with a custom granite company in Los Angeles, CA, traveling there on a monthly basis to pick custom granite for her clients. She returned back home to PA to open her own construction company with her twin sister, and they ran that for 5+ years doing brand new construction, remodeling, additions etc. She often found herself in the field missing the hands on experience. From time to time she would help her crew install kitchen and bathroom cabinetry. After, Melissa moved to New York, into more of an executive position as District Manager, growing her teams and motivating them to be future executives. Missing the action again, she now finds herself very excited to be working for The Solid Wood Cabinet Company. Rest assured that when you work with Melissa, she knows how to design your kitchen and knows how to install it as well. Customer Service is number one for her, and she knows that making sure all details are in place up front makes for an easy transition from concept, through design to install. In Melissa’s spare time, she loves photography and spending time outdoors with her 3 puppies Marley, Tucker, and Gracie! Making your dreams come true is what she does best! You dream it, and Melissa will design it!

Shawn Maxwell
Shawn MaxwellKitchen Designer
I am very passionate about creating a home that reflects the personality of its residence. I first started decorating homes and as my passion grew, I went for my degree in Residential Design at the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale. I later continued on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from the same school. Working in private residence throughout Miami, Ft. Lauderdale and the Caribbean, I developed an interest in kitchen and bath which lead me to a job at The Home Depot. There I fine-tuned my niche as a kitchen designer. Spending a lot of my off time cooking and entertaining, I am dedicated to creating kitchens that reflect the needs of the specific family. Whether it is an individual, young family or transitional families; the configurations are endless. But one thing remains fundamental… “The Kitchen is the heart of the home”, and as such it must be designed so it functions appropriately for the entire family! Selling kitchens is the appetizer; the main course is the relationships you build through customer service as you work with the customer to the completion of the project.
Malina Davis
Malina DavisKitchen Designer
There is art in the environments we live in and this is what drives me as a Designer. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design from the Art Institute of Philadelphia. Along the journey, I found my passion specifically in residential design. The kitchen is a room we use every day and designing kitchens for people, allows me to better someone’s every day life. Growing up in South Jersey I’ve experienced the luscious pine barrens, sandy shores, and city life across the bridge. Exploring these various cultures, I can design with a variety of styles and influences in mind. A room is a canvas that limits no medium to develop a relationship between people and their surroundings. A project with me will be exciting and fresh and I look forward to the adventure.

There are many important decisions to be made, and the investment is a major one for the average family. I have been a kitchen designer for over a decade. I’m passionate about what I do. I graduated with a Bachelors in International Business. I’m naturally a good listener and understand customers’ needs. My joy is seeing a customer happy because I listened, respected them and worked to give them the best solution for their project; that’s in a great design, of quality and within their budget. My roots are in service. My family made it by cultivating grains or by moving into the city to become successful business people. While growing up in Tanzania I picked fresh ripen fruits, peeled several, dried the beans, roasted them and ground my first coffee. I then set up a street stand to sell my 1st dry coffee. It was an exciting experience. As a kitchen designer I have sold kitchens in the USA, Africa and the Caribbean – specifically Bermuda. I’m looking forward to making your dream kitchen come true!
